We had similar comments with the exception of the "Reverses" block. I think that advances in holographic and handsfree technology may move us away from having to touch anything and we will get true, three dimentional views of whatever we are viewing.
My Tetrad that steps back from your reference of the calculator: The Slide Rule.
I really hope that the iPad or a version of it replaces textbooks. I hope that this is an area that grows and fast. Kids do not need to be carrying around 100lbs worth of books! The possibilities with textbooks are great and will offer up so much more with learning. I was able to use one ebook on my kindle in a course that I took at Walden and I LOVED it! I was able to search through information and highlight lines and then pull all my highlighted information to a separate page and use it to write a paper.
